ICAT Animation Students Visit Indian Institute of Cartoonists

On 16 March, 2016, the ICAT students of Animation department visited the Indian Institute of Cartoonists, the first of its kind organization in India. The organization aims at promoting the art of cartooning in the country by recognizing talents in the field and rewarding them. They showcase and preserve the best artworks for future generations, and guide the budding cartoonists in their career.

The field trip was organized with an aim to give the students an outside-the-classroom learning experience. The students were introduced to the gallery of artworks on women’s rights from international artists. The students got to understand the nuances of the work that gains international recognition. They got an understanding of how different artists have portrayed their thoughts using cartoon as medium...........

ICAT Students Won Various Prizes at "Kalaavaibhava" Cultural Fest

On 10th & 11th of March, 2016, Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering - Bangalore organized their annual cultural festival “Kalaavaibhava” in their campus. As a part of the program, they conducted various inter-college competitions in which students from across the country participated.

ICAT students actively participated in various competitions, including Games, Face Painting, Tatooing and Photography. Workshop on Cinematography & Direction

AT Design & Media College, Hyderabad organized a workshop on “Cinematography” for the II and III year students of UG Animation, Visual Effects and Media Technology. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Shivbilas Saxena from National Institute of Design (NID) for three days — from March 01, 2016 to March 03, 2016.

The workshop was focused to make students understand the nuances involved in the process of film-making, including basic idea generation, development of concepts, script writing, story-boarding, using various lighting equipments for lighting indoor & outdoor scenes and audio & video editing............

On 20 February, 2016, a seminar on ‘Unity Lighting’ was conducted for the students of 2 & 3 Year Game Design & Game programming students by the industrial expert, Mr. Girish. Who is a Technical Art Lead at Shrutika Entertainment with 6 years of experience in his field, he has also work with projects like Simulation Project for Indian Army & Tawazun project for Dubai Defense and various other games.......
