On 16 March, 2016, the ICAT students of
Animation department visited the Indian Institute of Cartoonists, the
first of its kind organization in India. The organization aims at
promoting the art of cartooning in the country by recognizing talents in
the field and rewarding them. They showcase and preserve the best
artworks for future generations, and guide the budding cartoonists in
their career.
The field trip was organized with an aim to give the students an outside-the-classroom learning experience. The students were introduced to the gallery of artworks on women’s rights from international artists. The students got to understand the nuances of the work that gains international recognition. They got an understanding of how different artists have portrayed their thoughts using cartoon as medium...........
