The quote depicts the importance of being unselfish to take the responsibility of making our society better. It starts from the very platform where education is prime mind occupancy of future generation. This is why, ICAT, Hyderabad is always first in the row, when it comes to pushing its students for creative contributions towards various social awareness programs, such as Road Safety, Blood Donation, Swatch Bharath and the most recently World Environment day.
The Game Design and Game Programming students of ICAT, Hyderabad collaboratively came up with brilliant skill-based games to feast their audience in ICAT's one of the most popular events called 'Game Carnival'. The students designed the games with an aim to promote environment conservation and the social responsibility to save our environment from being polluted. The games were exhibited to the public on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th of June, 2015, at Jalvihar, Hyderabad. Besides having an exceptional cause, all games were made to challenge the players with specific skills and abilities. Game like Keep in mind, pair the cups, Brace the card tickle the memory buds in the players mind. Amazingly most of the memory based games were easily won by all female players. Foot cycle, Hopscotch, cover the spot and Bounce the ball call the players to prove other skills, including hand and eye coordination, aiming and reactivity. Being physically engaging, these games are very helpful to develop mind and body and overall wellness in all age groups.
The carnival was a huge success with people irrespective of their age and gender, enjoying the games and encouraging their friends and family members to play along with them. We appreciate the efforts of our students and faculty members for organizing such a wonderful carnival. We thank the management of Jalvihaar and the hundreds of audience who participated in our students’ games and encouraged them to do more events like this.
