Animation students of ICAT, Bangalore
attended the AVGC (Animation Visual Effects Gaming & Comics) seminar
conducted by ABAI (Association of Bangalore Animation Industry). The
half-day panel discussion was a part of the three-day event, “Bangalore
IT.biz 2015” held at Hotel Lalit Ashok, Bangalore between 8 & 10
Dec, 2015. The panel discussion was titled “Bangalore as a Developing
AVGC Hub in India”. The Panel was moderated by Mr. Adi Shayan from
Dreamworks, and other panelists were from Xentrix studios, Rockstar
games and Zynga Games. On hearing panel ideas and suggestion, Ms.
Manjula V, The Principal Secretary of Government of Karnataka, assured
Government’s support on the various initiatives.

ICAT students were very inspired by the insights provided by the panelists on how the industry will grow in the next few years. They were happy about getting a vision on their industry and now have a better idea of what should be their next step towards their career goal.
When an L4 Animation student shared his experience in the seminar, “The session was very useful in terms of understanding what the industry expects from budding Artists like us. We would definitely not miss any such sessions in the city. It was very much inspirational and useful.”
