Many of our past ICAT students are now leads in the visual effects industry. Our current batch students witnessed this by an inspirational session by ICAT alumni's Mr. Dinesh Kumar and Mr. Karthikeyan who are currently working as VFX leads in a well-known studio based in Chennai.
Mr. Dinesh Kumar and Mr. Karthikeyan volunteered to share their industrial experiences on 4th May 2013 at ICAT Chennai campus. The core content of this session was done with an ambitious aim to improve the new entrant skill. The session started with principles of camera projections and foundations of camera tracking techniques followed by a practical hour on real time footage manipulation. Certain other technical question where answered in brief with a creative passion. Mr. Dinesh outlined the visual effect pipeline and stressed the importance of planning the shots at the initial stage of filming. The students enjoyed the session and got a balance to meet the industrial needs.
